About the Site - ReadingAndThinking.com - Muhiuddin Alam

ReadingAndThinking.com is the go-to destination for finding the finest book suggestions and insightful reviews.

Hello, I am Muhiuddin Alam founder of the book recommendations and reviews site, ReadingAndThinking.com where I post reviews about the books I love.

What I Do

Over the years as a leading authority on literary expertise, I've created numerous book reviews, many of which can be found on this site.

I also rarely do negative reviews, unless I feel a pressing need to inform readers and/or potential book buyers of something I feel they need to know to make an informed choice.

I’d rather flood the world with awesome than nit-pick about books that don’t live up to my expectations.

That said, I am a bit of a nit-picker. I feel no compulsion to continue reading a book if it doesn’t grab my attention within the first few pages.

I’ve been writing book reviews since I was in high school, first in a small newsletter I published myself with limited distribution, then in Christmas letters, and later for local newspapers.

I started blogging about books in 2020—on my personal blog, on book review blogs, and all over the Internet.

For more information about me personally and other places, you can find me online, by reading the "About Me" Page.

This literary site is a constellation of thoughts that come out of those hundreds, thousands, and millions of books that today helped us build our empire: "ReadingAndThinking.com". A litterateur and an internationalist, that once dreamed of a kingdom and today write on it.

“Once you learn to read, you will be forever free”
- Frederick Douglass

"A book to kill time for those that like it better dead."
- Dame Rose Macaulay

Sometimes books are so good that food and sleep are just inconvenient interruptions. Sometimes they have me reaching for the matches. I've reviewed a few of these joys and atrocities on Amazon, but it was about time I put them all together on one site, so here it is.

Most of these will be a list of book reviews, best parenting books, health and fitness books, horror books, cookbooks, books for women, self-help books, and children's books - but I already read pretty much anything. And if I don't like it, I will say so. If no one gets the Nul Points score, how will the real gems stand out?

There is the idea that to grow a business, you must be ruthless. But I know that there is a better way to grow. One where what is good for the final result is also good for customers.

I believe that companies can grow with awareness and succeed with a soul and that they can do so with inbound. That is why I have created a platform that unites Education and the community to help companies grow better every day.

ReadingAndThinking.com is a website for those who need quick and effective help with organizing, reading, understanding, and writing book reviews that are fairly standard among classes, despite the subject of the particular book or the grade level.

I strive to help students organize their writing more quickly and do their own assignments. By using and applying the right writing strategies, I managed to make the writing process more enjoyable and less tedious.

Here, you’ll find general guidance, book analyses, and brief summaries for more than 500 books of classic and modern literature that will help students excel, regardless of the book review type.

I want students to like reading and to carefully consider as well as think about the author’s message. I consider that good book reviews catch the interest and give the desire to read the book.

I designed easy navigation on this site to enhance your reading experience and try to give you all the information related to the books in simple language.

I try to recommend books by author and subject. I hope this site is useful & helpful to you.

Our book reviews are generally focused on the author’s biographies, characterization, and analysis, brief statements about the genre, the writer’s feelings, some hardly noticeable hints, a brief summary as well as publication information and quotations to support the general conclusion that will introduce you to the book and give a better idea of the main subject.

I always keep an eye out for the “clues” that the author has written in the form of metaphor or symbolism which can be one of the questions your teacher will ask you.

Having these in mind you will be able to identify and refer to the crucial facts that support the general theme of the book. Luckily, whether you are writing a book review for middle school or a college book review outline, the basic format is the same.

All of our book reviews are written accordingly to match the reader’s age, so that everyone, regardless of age, can benefit from reading them.

Our website is not intended only for students, but also for their parents who want to more easily and quickly have insights into their kids’ homework and be able to help them at any time.

Also, teachers and professors who need some extra help in organizing their assignments and all of you who simply love reading.

If you sense resistance because book reviews in the past have been unpleasant and boring, I’m bringing you something that’s more than acceptable to make your book review time special.

If your goal is to not only know how to read but to be the person who actually reads, and uses our productive material. I guarantee that you’ll be well on your way to meeting that goal.

Take a look around and see what’s new and what you can learn. It is never too late to improve your knowledge or to have stunning grades. Just remember that investing in yourself to learn now will improve all your future writing skills. Follow me on the Google Knowledge Panel.

In addition to this blog, readingandthinking.com is also a business, where I sell information products and services. ReadingAndThinking.com has no advertising and is fully compatible with these extras.

I look for what I think is best for most people. I don’t look for the most feature-packed gadgets or the finest finishes in home goods. I pick the things that will fit best into the lives of everyday people who are shopping for them—and that’s what takes work.

I made this blog to share the best book reviews; I review the books and classify them so it can be easier for students and general readers to find great resources for education, self-development, and entertainment and concentrate more on non-fiction practical books, which will not ignore high-quality fiction.

I try to provide you with all the information related to books in simple language. So I try to collect the best fiction and non-fiction, I create also collections of books by author or topic...

I cover both fiction and non-fiction titles of many genres. Our book lists are always well-researched, taking into account an aggregate of reader reviews on Amazon, Good Reads, and other book-related sites. I also include our own honest opinions if I’ve read the book ourselves!

The goal is to encourage people to read more books. I want everyone to discover the joy of flipping through pages with an unlimited imagination.

This site was founded by Muhiuddin Alam. I am a writer and a lifelong reader.

I continuously expand my site and consistently contribute to various websites and publications, including Medium, Quora, Reddit, Linkedin, Substack, Vocal, Flipboard, and Amazon KDP
